Title: Hunting Pouch Care
Post by: eagle24 on January 26, 2009, 11:44:27 PM
I wasn't sure exactly where I should post this question.  This seemed to be the best place to me.  What do you use to clean and dress your leather hunting pouch with?  I hunted in the rain a few weeks ago and got my brain tanned hunting pouch wet.  I hung it inside to driy and noticed it now has some mildew on it.  I am trying to decide how to clean it and what to put on it that won't alarm a whitetail to my being in his bedroom.

A light application of white vinegar should take care of it. In future, keep it in a room where the humidity stays between 50% and 70% and the problem should not reoccur.

Exposure to full strong sunlight will kill the leather mold...
