Title: buggy rifle
Post by: albert on May 17, 2014, 04:42:28 AM
I have a buggy rifle that employs the take down method used by Edwin Wesson ,but the rifle is unmarked except for the inside of the cap box which is stamped with the name of P.S.Newton who was a gunsmith in Connecticut from 1828 - 1888. Did Edwin Wesson normally mark his guns ?  I am looking at another buggy rifle that is almost a match to the rifle that I have, and it is also unmarked. I am also wandering if P.S.Newton made rifles in the style of Wesson
