Title: Attributed Wiley Higgins pistol
Post by: Shreckmeister on August 24, 2014, 03:16:32 AM
I'm shocked at the relatively low price this pistol brought at auction.
I've seen far less interesting pistols with much higher price tags.
Am I missing something?

I certainly see no basis to attribute it to Wiley Higgins. Nonetheless, it is a quality deep South pistol and the hammer price was surprisingly low.

That's what I was told, but it wouldn't be the first time I was misdirected.

I dunno, its just not wigged out enough for a Wiley IMO. There were several Higgins in the trade though. Then again it is difficult to say and I see stuff attributed to Higgins that I question, sometimes it seems he's a catch all for those stumped by a deep south gun. I have been studying the boy. It is a nice pistol is my only take on it.
