Title: 1820 kentucky flintlock Birch signed lock

I have a few guns I am researching for a gentleman, one of which is a fine tiger maple octagon with a Birch lock. Can you guys help with the lock.

All here will be most happy to help but will need pictures. Examine the top flat behind the rear site for any evidence of a signature or letters stamped or engraved....however do not "clean".If you need someone to post pictures, email them to me and I will gladly assist.
