Very nice Virginia rifle by Chuck Edwards featured on the Contemporary Makers blog this morning. It is listed just below the beautiful Windsor chair.

With out a dought one of the best ways to start the new year. Looking at a quality piece like this. Very nice rifle by Mr. Edwards.

I like those Va rifles. Having one made in 40 caliber. The Edwards rifle is really nice.

That patchbox (style) is super unique - don't recall seeing anything like that before (with the domed part "contained" - can't think of another way to describe it).

It's a sweetie..that's for certain.

I think its called a captured lid patch box .That looks like some fine carving and engraving too.Seeing that its a thirty six caliber I bet it will make a dandy squirrel gun specially with a Rice barrel. Curt

Love that style of patchbox Curt, and I admire the engraving on this rifle also. As Master Taylor said "sweet" which pretty well sums it for me.
