Title: My new "OLD" Rifle starting to fix... have a few Q's

Hello....My name is Eric.... I got this rifle a few weeks ago after seeing it on Craigslist, The lock has H.Gano Cincinnati ....The first pics of the rifle is how i got
it with what looks like a 1930's fix to the stock in two places ...
 
I have a ton of pics and and found some really cool markings and builders stamps
that i'll post...
