Title: Adams County Ohio Homestead Days….
Post by: yardhunter on October 11, 2016, 06:39:16 AM
My bride and I attended the John T. Wilson Homestead Days in Adams County Ohio recently. Activities included tours of the restored historical home, blacksmithing, food, crafts, tomahawk throwing, kids activities, etc. What attracted my attention the most was...…a black powder gun shoot. I got lucky & actually won 2nd place in the flintlock division. For me…that's PRICELESS!

Here's a glimpse of the fun from October 1, 2016.

Great video!!! Looks like that event was well attended also. That's always good to see.

What rifle were you shooting?

I'm using a Pedersoli Ky flintlock….50 caliber.  They can be found at any Cabelas.
It's been a good gun for one that's seen 4000+ shots in under 3 years.

Thanks for watching the video.……….

The rifle I'm holding in that little picture is the predecessor of your Pedersoli, a Hatfield.

I did well with it hunting wise. She had a Pedersoli barrel and was very accurate.  The lock, however, wasn't a Pedersoli lock and I don't know who built the lock, possibly Spanish, because when I competed with it for a number of years the lock pretty much fell apart.
