Where to get good ramrod blanks ?
-
Good straight hickory trees. Good bit of work splitting them out. I bought a handful of good ones from Dunlaps at Lexington show. I buy half inch ones so I can taper them.

Acer (Tom Curran) makes a nifty ramrod scraper that makes ramrod extraction much easier from blanks. I highly recommend them.

Thanks Rich and All. Got hold of Larry last night, and some rods will follow after his show in Ohio this weekend. Have not been able to get Mr. Bailey, but last year I did and he said he wanted to sell his business, he did not think he would be making any more.
