This came from my wife's family without any details. Her family settled in Iowa after stops in Pennsylvania, Ohio, then finally Iowa. Their trek started in early 1700's and ended in mid 1800's so could have been picked up any place along the way in terms of time and location. It has been scraped so you can see remaining powder by holding up to sun.
