Title: Showing Off New Possibles Bags
Post by: CavSoldier3ACR on July 15, 2017, 09:08:53 PM
I mentioned in other posts that I was a US Army officer working in Guatemala.  I have taken the time to start a build for my son and while I was here I took advantage of the leather industry.  Attached are two new possibles bags that I had custom made for my boy and I.  They are made of unborn calf skin (I have no idea why they would be killing unborn calves but the leather and hair are soft) and turned out real nice.  The Guatemalans do not have brass parts so the metal loops and snaps are not authentic, but the rest of the bags turned out first rate.  I can always change them out when I get home.  I paid about $60 each for them, which was a little high I thought for Central America, but were still considerably more economical that a custom bag at home in the states.  I am trying to figure out what other leather products I need before I have to head back to Texas at the end of September.
