in the addition of June's Muzzle Blasts the brothers talk about a table shoot, does anyone have an idea how this is shot?

Table shooting is still in it's infancy, it was started about 3 years ago. It's much like chunk shooting but is shot at 30 yards off a 3 legged "T" shaped table. The targets are X's, as in chunk, and scoring is done the same way. Two classes of rifles have been established, "Hunter" and "Open". Hunter rifles must weigh 10# or less and have open rear sights. No can't blocks, rubber recoil pads or false muzzles. Shaders are allowed. Front sights may be hooded with post & bead, blade but no apertures. Open class rifles must weigh 13# or less and can use peep sights in the rear. Everything else is similar to the Hunter rifles. The discipline was put together by the late Paul Griffith and Robin Warner in order to get some of the "more mature" shooters who couldn't get up and down any longer back on the line and shooting. Contact me with any questions or to get a rule book.

Like chunk, it is easier to see it done than figure it out from descriptions. Where are you located? There's table shoots in at least Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia, possibly other places. Ideally, you could go to one and participate or watch.
If you've shot chunk, it is easy to figure out table shooting, but it takes offhand shooters a while to catch on sometimes, but they generally love it once they get the hang of it!

Yip,
If you go to: mlts.masters@gmail.com or target.boardhost.com, you will find everything you need including links to schedules and locations of shoots.

I believe the correct web address for the above is targetx.boardhost.com . Easy to miss the "x".
