I recently finished this rifle. I guess it would fall into the" New School " Early rifle category . It has a .62 caliber , 38 inch Colerain barrel , a modified Davis early Germanic lock and , modified Davis triggers. The guard is a Reaves Gohring casting. The carving is based on some from a rifle ,I like in Shumway`s Jeager book. The butt plate is one I shaped from a TOTW casting. This rifle is headed to a young man in Texas! It is a gift from a very NICE uncle! Thanks for looking. Nate

Very nice carving and engraving. The recipient should be pleased.

Beautiful!!
-
Very nice carving! Sure that’ll bag a few animals down in Texas
-
Nothing not to like on this one....every feature contributes to a new but old looking jäger. To me the carving is expertly done in a Germanic way. You surely did capture the "flavor" of a jäger.......Fred

Nice job Nate, I like that style of rifle and you did a great job on the carving and the engraving. It has a nice old German look.
**If you have Kindigs book look at #149, that's the rifle I thought about when I first saw this one. Again nice work.
