Title: HC Hunt Camp
Post by: alacran on September 03, 2018, 03:11:59 PM
The Hawk is in the air. At least it is in the Arizona Mountains. Cant get my mind off of hunting. Spent an hour trying to find a rifle photo I mislabeled. In my search I came across this photo.  Just made my yearning for the hunt even stronger.

These are the "Curlew KY Long hunters"
I'm the Q tip in the middle.
What's your favorite camp photo?

You would think Indiana would be able to field two or three teams. It was hard enough to get five guys to show up, when the forma was changed to 5 man teams. I missed it last year was having cataract surgery.  I might be able to make it as an alternate. Been going there since the year it was held at Sparta.

All my pics  of me looking like that were taken on real film, long before digital cameras were invented. ;) Now I'm too busted up to do that sort of thing.

Me too Mike but i'm too dumb to give up. My mind says I can do it but my body always gets the last laugh.

It would be more outlawish if it was black and white.

Maybe some of us in our 7th or 8th decade should have a get together.  Be historically correct - show up alive!  And hopefully go home the same way.
Maybe I can teach my 9 year old GREAT-grandson how to load for me.  He is pretty quick, so he can also do the retrieving of targets!

Very nice photo! Tough looking group of “good ole boys”. Wish I had more photos from my younger days before cell phones and “selfies”. Love the homespun garb. Good times with good friends and kindred spirits make good memories. Thanks so much for sharing.

Cut off my pony tail before summer started. I put it in a zip lock bag. If you want I'll send it to you. Going to have to superglue it to yore head LOL.

Here ya’ go! It’s my Favorite Camp pic because, it was still standing after 6.5 inches of rain at Friendship . LOL

It was my first time to camp Primitive at Friendship and only my second Primitive Camp set up.

I still had a great time, met a bunch of good people and done a bunch of shootin’ after the rains.

Camp looks good. When you get that much rain in Indiana You gonna feel wet even if your tent doesn't leak.
