I  have had 4 .54 caliber barrels , aGRRW. an ED Rayl, a Douglas, and a GMT barrel. Like most barrels they have a lower velocity load and a higher velocity load.  If you are shooting chunk gun range, 6o yds. I would experiment with 2f loads between 55 and 65 grains. You will probably find a good load in that range.  I believe your barrel is 1 in 66 twist. Your upper velocity load is going to be some where between 85 and 110 grains.  Those upper velocity loads will let you know that you are shooting., specially from a rest.
Be good to know what that upper accuracy load is for a windy day.
.
Your patch to ball combo will have a lot to do with your barrels performance.  That's something else you'll have to experiment with.
Hope this helps

IIRC the two Getz 54s that I have had were 1-56 but shot good with the loads that alacran mentions.

I have used lots of 1-56 Getz .54's over the years. john used that twist commonly.

Not Getz, but my old .54 shot V well with 60 grs for target, and 120 for hunting. 2F.   And it had a 1~48" twist!
Only difference at 100 yards was the heavier load shot about an inch higher.  Used V dense 18 thou linen patch and deer tallow lube.

What alacran said.... in my Getz .54 (1/66) I found 65 grains to be accurate and easy on the shoulder.  I've also killed deer with this load (.520 ball, pillow ticking patch) out to 60 yards.  When I want a little more oomphff and flatter trajectory for longer distances I like (actually the gun likes) 75 grains with same ball patch combo.  This works out to 125 yards or so without much Kentucky elevation, six inch gong.  ( I hate shooting paper).

Others barrel mileage may vary.
Best regards,

Paper is the best teacher. It has no favorites and it never lies.

I have a 48", .50 Don Getz barrel on my Verner rifle. It likes 85gr. 2F GOEX so far but hasn't been tested to perfection just yet. I suspect it will be better with about 90gr., but testing will tell.
From a 50 yard zero, drop at 110yards is only about 4". Holding in the middle of the gongs brings hits, from 20yards to 110yards.
