     Anyone  have info   on a gun builder by the name of W. Howell ,Yancey co N.C.?

Will Howell,... discussed at length in John Rice Irwin's book on Southern Appalachian Rifles and also in David Byrd's first book,...  made plain iron mounted hog rifles in the late 1800 through early 1900's at his shop in Flat Top and Spivey Mountain area of Yancey Co,....  according to Dave's research he also earlier worked in the shop of Charles Bean Jr. near Erwin in Unicoi Co. Tennessee,... The museum of Appalachia has many of his gun making tools,... many photos in these two books,... If you know of one his guns please post some photos and specs,.... regards,...    I know a fellow who has a set of his pistols a right hand and a left hand don't know if he will let me take pics but will try.

 ;) ;)... Will's son Pete Howell made several pistols too,... but only made one rifle,... be good to see those pix,... thanx,...
