In a recent Muzzleloader magazine there’s a feature article on the Hawken rifles and other builds by Bob Browner of St. Louis. For Hawken rifle fans, this is well worth the purchase of the magazine. I have the privilege of belonging to the Gemmer ML club here in STL and Bob and Margie have become friends and mentors. Bob’s work is truly outstanding and must be seen to be appreciated. Check it out!

I read that article & admired the rifle pictures.
Really liked the light plains rifle; would be cool in a 40 caliber.

We'll be at the mall tomorrow and I'll be sure to pick up a copy of
MuzzleLoader. I have made a number of locks and triggers for Bob Browner
including one for the Creamer pistol.
Bob's guns are first rate in all aspects.

Thanks for the heads up. Bob has just finished a Hawken rifle for me featuring one of Mr. Roller's locks, three silver bands, lightly aged. I haven't received it yet, but am looking forward to it. I'll pick up this issue. Thanks again.

Does anyone have contact information for Mr. Browner?

I think it’s in the article. He doesn’t use the internet much. I can relay a message to him and get you his phone #. PM me. He’s booked about 2-3 years I think but best to ask him.

Bob and his wife were at the CLA show last year.
He has a back log, but I am told he is worth the wait.

Bob serves on the CLA board.

Bob and Margie's tables at the CLA show our next to my tables and Celeste and I could not ask for a nicer couple to sit next to. Bob is a very talented builder and is very dedicated to building accurate copies of the Hawken rifle. It was great to see the article on him and his work.
