Title: 16 Bore Blanch
Post by: Daryl on June 03, 2019, 06:47:17 PM
A friend on another forum, just picked up this SxS shotgun in Alaska at an auction. He noted, for $130.00 he just
couldn't turn it down. These are the only 3 pictures he posted. Nice wood. He noted the bores were very nice.

My dad used to say, “You’re lucky when you win!”

Looks like a solid shooter.

Looks like one of those times it just has to go home with you. Very nice looking piece at less than a bargain price.

Hard to tell but the top rib may need some attention.

I have owned 3 Blanch guns over the years that I remember, they were all good shooters and well constructed.

Yes correct buying a gun  with a loose top rib can have unseen dangers under,  it is a built up of rust that push the top rib off , would not say how  many in that condition I have relayed , be careful
