I’d like to make a bag out of a bobcat pelt I have but it will get filthy. I could do a hat like the picture. Anyone have any experience or suggestions of something to make with nice fur?

That’s unconventional hide for sure. I’d be inclined to make a cowhide bag and inset a center cut piece of that cat hide in the flap. A full cat hide bag is not to my taste, but others may differ. I look forward to seeing what you decide. You have the talent to pull off something unique. God bless, Marc

I mostly agree with Marcruger, especially concerning a bag. But to discount a hat, well...?

Go for a small bag. Historically one can find jaguar and leopard bags.

It would be perfect for a Comanche quiver.

I think a hat would be great for ice fishing

Mike, living in Kentucky you could use a nice hunting bag more than you would use a hat. I don't know weather your hide has the face or not but the pouch flap with the face or the prime piece of hide would be nice. Those hats are pretty warm and there ain't to many days that you could wear it. What ever you do with it, have fun.
Kind Regards and thank you for your service...

I’d go for a hat/briefs combo myself....perfect accouterments for a Tennessee rifle.... ???
