Title: Captured Patchbox Lid

Buddy of mine picked this up a couple of weeks ago, wondering if anyone else has seen a captured patchbox lid that opens in this manner, and if so does that indicate an area where it could have been made? To open it you push down on the end of the lid closest to to trigger, and it springs open the other end, it's like pushing down on a spring loaded button?
