Title: scrimsahw powder measure
Post by: frenchman on July 15, 2009, 11:02:18 PM
This is another try at some scrimshaw on deer horn . I had polish the horn and was thinking of leaving it as is. Then started to play with it and added some words. This stuff is like glass and also discovered that it scratches better in one direction only .Some difficulty spacing the words because the horn is very hard, the scratcher tends to glide a bit. I regret the holes and went with the wire for attaching it .So my friend can tie it differently if he wants to.
