Title: Wanted: Experienced Gunsmith in eastern NC or SC
Post by: Tacksman45 on January 13, 2020, 07:20:50 PM
Hi everyone,

I am looking for an experienced gunsmith who builds flintlocks in eastern North Carolina or northern South Carolina. I will welcome any responses or recommendations! I would also like to find a blacksmith in this area.

Thanks!

Check with Dboone (here on ALR) if he can't help he can probably put in touch with someone.

A call to Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC would probably get you some names of smiths in that area.

Bill at L&R Locks in Sumter SC may be in the know. He is friendly and has lots of good advice. Maybe he can point you in the right direction.

I'm around Charlotte. I dont think there's been a flintlock builder around here for almost 220 years.

Are you looking for someone to build you a rifle or help you build a rifle? I live in Randleman, NC.

Fred Stutzenberger, in Clemson, SC, is always helpful.  Might be too far away.
