I'm thinking of engraving the locks and cocks on my longrifles and would like to see any locks that are engraved. Haven't been able to find many examples in all the books I have. I have several old English hammer shotguns with engraving that I could copy but most are bird hunting scenes. If you have any photos you can post of engraving on locks I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Check out my web sight and look at the long rifles. also you might want to buy John Shipper's book on engraving. Hardly any original long rifles had lock engraving. Mostly because the locks came from
Germany or England and were case hardened therefore they could not be engraved.
