Title: New bag for my smoothbore
Post by: bob in the woods on May 16, 2020, 09:04:33 PM
Here is a bag I just finished, deer hide, with ticking lining, and wool thread embellishments.

Pretty cool, that embroidery would look neat on a leather coat or hunting frock cape. Nice job, good outside the box thinking.

Good to see the open top bag getting some attention and perhaps an under appreciated design. Bob, you did a fine job embellishing it and should be a best buddy to your smoothbore. Well done.

Reminiscent of Jim and Susie Webb's embroidery work.  Looks nice.  God Bless,   Marc

Thanks everyone. I wanted something different, and so went with the embroidery and the open top bag design, which I have seen some examples of in museums [ Native or Metis ]   With the soft tanned leather, the open top is not prone to dumping everything as I feared, and access is very good.  I like it !
