Title: large horn with carved spout
Post by: Dale Halterman on May 22, 2020, 06:24:17 PM
I bought this rather large horn at an estate auction maybe 15 years ago in Chester County, PA. When I got it, the butt end was damaged and the butt plug was an obvious replacement. I trimmed about 1/4" off the butt and made a new, not so obvious, replacement plug.

I really like the spout treatment. Something has chewed on it, possibly a puppy.

A great find Dale.  Love the way the original maker did the spout with a very nice design and execution.  Craftsman for sure.
