Some of you will remember seeing this rifle before. Here's a few more pictures courtesy of Allen Martin if you missed them.

Very nice southern gun !!!!!!!!!!
-
An honest and unpretentious rifle!
-
THAT is a rifle. Nice grab.
-
I have to ask, but did the lock start as one of the old Dixie Gun locks? Really like the way it turned out.
-
Jaw dropping beautiful. That is one fine rifle. what caliber, looks like maybe .54?
-
Par for the course. Chuck does beautiful work. I know you’re very proud to have it, Daniel.

Found my bullet molds on ALR too.
Lightning strikes twice in the same place!
-
Nifty. How old is that gun?
-
2018, here's a cut and paste from one of the other posts on this rifle from ALR member "Collector" sorry I don't know his name.
"I commissioned Chuck to build a rifle for me and he delivered it at the 2018 CLA Meeting. Influenced by the Robert Hughes #197 Appalachian School details in Bill Ivery's first book on Southern longrifles. I just got out of the way...
Custom Rice .480 cal X 46 inch in their Southern profile. Re-worked Davis 'Contract' lock & cock and fully polished internals. Premium ~30 YO Curly Maple blank from Hugh Toenjes (Black Smoke/ALR), from Wayne Dunlap's early Ken Thompson/Slippery Rock inventory. Forged hardware, silver front sight, hand-built set triggers (clean & crisp) and hand-scraped stock.
Definitely worth the wait. "
Allen Martin had it listed a while back and I reached out to Allen to see if it was still available.
