Title: David Haney Memorial Shoot 10-25-2020
Post by: Herb on October 26, 2020, 03:05:00 AM
Terry held her annual shoot today, 27 degrees cold and seven shooters.  The first targets were replica skulls with fake blood.  Here is Kyme sizing them up.

When he hits with his longrifle, as he usually does, you know it.

Kyme's target.  I hit the one that is missing, it is on the ground.

Me and my .54 Carson Hawken copy with the least gorey of my two hits.

The next target was a 52 Card Shoot-Up Target.  You were allowed to study the cards, which then faced away from the shooter.  I tried for a Royal Flush (I think it is called), Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten of the same suite.  I memorized the order, opposite of this side:  number three (from right), center, number one, number six and number one.  All had green posters over them, that helped.

I did not hit all I aimed at, but did remember which ones I wanted to hit.

There were four flintlock shooters, three of them left-handed.  Terry and Carney

Carney shot a right-handed flintlock left-handed.  He is wearing his Cory Joe Stewart bag and horn.

Good to see you fellows out shooting, Herb.
It's a bit colder here, 5 to 15F and we got 8" snow last night. Supposed to warm up a bit over freezing the rest of the week.
Taylor and I need to get out shooting before the end of the month.

That is awesome!  Herb, you and Kyme surely look the most handsome of the lot, being so well-dressed and such.  I like that red capote (?) you have.

Hi, Gordon.  No need for the PM.  Great day here in the Basin.
