The best flat horn I think that I have seen. Very nice! The butt compartment is especially unique and the horn shows a high level of craftsmanship in its ornamentation and finish.

I have never before seen a flat horn with such a butt compartment. If this flat horn is antique, I think, an origin in central Europe or eastern Europe might be possible or seem likely to be so.

I have a flat "ball" horn with a sliding door in the base for caps. Made by a friend 20 years ago.
