I really like that Peter, thanks for posting it. Never seen one like it. Amazing what can be made out of just a cow horn and a little ingenuity! I do a lot of post-and-beam timberframing using all the old original hand tools and we use chalklines every day. I might have to make a reproduction of this one. Would be a fun project and combine my loves for woodworking and black-powder gear!

Rich, Thanks for asking. Until you suggested that I had never even really taken a look at the "over the back fence" section of the site before. I'm working very long days lately but soon as I get a little time I'll post a few timberframing pics over there.
