Title: Horn With Two Bands
Post by: Tim Crosby on August 10, 2021, 04:53:11 PM
It is about 13" around the outside curve. The butt is Dogwood threaded 1 - 6 for the Walnut finial and held in by 3 steel pins. The tip is Horn threaded to the Antler collar with 5/8-11 threads, the collar is pinned to the horn with 3 pins. The 2 bands are held in place by 3 pins each. For the color it was boiled in Brown Rit dye and finished with Brown wax.

You’re a horn building machine my friend.  This is my favorite of your recent horns. Great shaping and the deep color is super.  See you this week.  God bless, Marc

Yes Indeed that's about the richest shade of brown you've done Tim.

This one is my favorite of your horns.  I have got to ask, is it for sale?
