I'm hoping someone will send me the info about the gunsmith(s) John Whetstone from Bower's 1979 book "GUNSMITHS OF PEN-MAR-VA 1790-1840". I've been trying to research John Whetstone, and it's starting to look like there were two or three gunsmiths with that name. It's time to see what Bower may have discovered that I have not. Here's my research so far (click refresh button to see latest information): https://korns.org/gunsmiths/John-Whetstone-Jr/john-whetstone-jr-8292021.html (https://korns.org/gunsmiths/John-Whetstone-Jr/john-whetstone-jr-8292021.html)

Best information I've seen on Whetstone.
For your collection I've submitted some photos of a John Whetstone rifle I have for sale, which will be at the up-coming Long Rifle Show at Morgantown, PA, October 1-2nd.
Good luck with the research...
