Title: Original whale's mouth horn -

Art Riser was unable to post these photos so I have posted them for him in hope someone might be able to give some information about the horn.

Original whale's mouth horn -- 12 inches along top or inner curve, replaced mouth and butt plugs.

Great horn!!! Thank you for posting the photos. This horn would truly be nice to own. Wonder if it was not inspired by a Tansel horn way back then. The maker stopped with engraving the jacket and called it good. Nice drawer pull for the butt. Not sure when those started appearing on powder horns, but I have a 1760 map horn with a ring type drawer pull. Anyone pin down a time when this use began?
