did some sanding with 220 grit and wet em down, just couldn't wait to see the curl, got at least two more times of sanding and raising the grain.

Gotta love curl. Unless you carve like Ed Wenger or Jim Kibler, and then you might want some fairly plain wood. :-D God Bless, Marc

Gonna be sweet, Terry.

hope you guys excuse the mess, didn't think it was that bad!

Man that's going to be great looking!

Yip,
Don't worry about the mess. My Dad use to always say that a messy workbench was the sign of a busy worker. And his corollary was, if you need something done, give it to a busy man...there is a reason he's busy !

Looks like my bench. Since I built my gunstocking horse, my benches have become pretty bad. I was just over to Allen Martins shop yesterday. His bench makes me look like a total mess. You could dang near eat off it. BJH

The progress so far looks like it'll be a very slender, petite Bucks County LR. Are you planning on an upper forestock molding or is it done but doesn't show? A forestock molding adds to the slender look. On most BCs it was just an incised line but I usually did a concave in relief molding. Is a Pbox planned.....a side opener isn't that difficult to make....it's just a lid and tells everyone that it's a BC. Looking forward to when it's completed .....Fred

My Aunt used to say that "a messy desk is the sign of a "cluttered" mind". That was a very "negative" statement for her to make.
