Title: .66, .69 barrel sources
Post by: Badenpowell on November 25, 2021, 01:12:13 AM
Who besides Oregon Barrel Company makes 16 and/or 14-bore barrels? The big bore hunting thread got me wondering about a nice percussion round-ball thumper.

I've used .66/16ga smoothbore barrels from Colerain and have a .66 Rice rifled early Dutch profile up next in line in the shop, so that's at least 2.

I got my 66 cal. from Charlie Burton. Made to my specs.

I just got a barrel from Charlie (FCI) and while it wasn't one of those bore sizes, I did specify exactly what I was after - including a somewhat oddball bore - and gosh darn it that's exactly what I received.  Awesome barrel.

Also Bob Hoyt and Ed Rayl will likewise make you pretty much anything you want, so you can't go wrong with either of these three dudes.

Rice made my .66 caliber barrel and Don Bruton turned it into my dream rifle.
