Title: Vrai, Ruban
Post by: Charlie B on September 30, 2009, 07:34:41 PM
Looking for info on Vrai Ruban could be Ruban Vrai. I believe he was a German gun builder in the mid 1800's. Saw a beautiful 50cal, 32 gauge? double barrel perc. shotgun with jug choked barrels and it got me curious. Gun does not belong to me so am unable to photograph at this time. The name is engraved on the top rib between barrels. Any help appreciated.

Wonder if perhaps it is Czech (Moravian/Bohemian)?  Definitely doesn't sound like a German name.

Definitely possible, does not seem to be much info on him, though did see another gun with his name on it at an auction site when ran search. Site was I believe German but don't quote me since I'm told I have yet to master the English language.
