Title: TOOK THE LEAP!

i ordered a 40 cal barrel from Rice, 44" long .875 at the breech and 3/4"" at muzzle and got a Sugar maple stock out at Weaders to do barrel channel and r/r groove. maybe i'm going a little overboard with this. i goofed

Hi....what are you building? Your bbl specs are probably a misprint....7/8" and .875 are the same. What's w/ the previous build?....Fred

  Fred  the previous is coming around but it'll take a while. thought i'd get the next one ordered

Does Rice have a name for that barrel profile?

Haven't heard of Weaders who is that?

Dan; i didn't ask about spec's i just asked Jason for  40CAL 44" long and looking to build a lite rifle. and Weaders name of the company is JACKS MOUNTAIN STOCK COMPANY here in PA.

I'm used to scratching the barrel channel and ramrod out a little at a time but thinking of trying a different approach. I like dealing with Jason and will check with him next week for a barrel.
