This was an enjoyable powder horn to make and decorate. The scrimshawing work took a lot more time to do than shaping and plugging the horn itself.
It is my tenth horn of recent. I like using the hunting lad motif and the inscription. I couldn't come up with something to do in the last panel, so I went with a map of the area of NJ that I grew up in.
I kind-of like how it turned out.

DANG Bob, that is a beauty. I think this is your best. I like the caramel color you have gotten on a couple lately, and your engraving is really nice. Very bold. Nice deep color on the tip too. You are hitting your stride with this one. God Bless, Marc

I just tried to do some scrimshaw decoration of my first horn, and now I can appreciate the great art behind this work.
