Here are a set of mounts form a 1750s Suhl style Jaeger Rifle. I have molds made for this and another similar Jaeger. I'm curious about interest in offering this style at the NMLRA Seminar.

Can't speak for all, Ron, but for me those Rococo brass pieces are top-notch. If they are cast as perfectly as your other pieces, they will be a knockout.
Can't attend a seminar due to health problems, but as soon as I finish my not-Rococo Jaeger, I'd like to give those a good try. And I know you'd be happy to furnish the walnut plank!

Ron…, those are incredible! Certainly has my interest! Best,

I'd buy a set for sure. I just got a set of your chiseled jaeger hardware from MBS....very nice, clean castings.
-
Beautiful work.

Those are beautiful, Ron. I've used the other mounts I purchased from you and I'd be interested in a set of these if you make extra over and above what you need for your class. I would love it if these were cast in steel so an inlay of gold could be applied to the recesses. Regards,
Dan

I'm interested in a set as well.

Sell a few extras so you can buy some new gloves ;D ;D
-
I'd be interested in a set of these for my german transitional rifle.
-
If they would be ready for May/June-ish, I would happily take a set.
-
Wax's shipped to the foundry Friday last week. I would anticipate that the casings will arrive in March. I'll make a list of requests and contact those before listing them.
-
Any idea on a price range? I'm interested in a set.
-
Ron please add me to the list of those interested.
Thanks,
Carl

As an aside, do you know what gilding technique they used for the gold? I was thinking that adding the reverse (white gold) on the brass casts might actually look nice, but have only ever done keum-boo style gilding on silver.
-
The price will likely run about the same as MLBS. I won't know until I get the invoicing. I am hoping half these cast in steel and the others in brass. It appears the thin gold has been set into a roughened shallow background.
-
So it's inlay rather than gilded with gold leaf?
-
Yes, in this case it is inlay. A potential modern alternative might be to mask off around the recessed areas and apply a heavy gold electroplate .
-
That is some gorgeous furniture. Any chance I could buy a set?

When the castings arrive from the foundry, I will post in the sale category.

Sorry Ron I'm not trying to be a pain but was wondering if you've heard anything on when you might get these back from the foundry?
Thanks,
Trevor

No word yet. The Foundry isn't much for communication. In the past my notification is the U{S driver knocking on the door and indicating I need to write a COD check. That being said, enough time has elapsed for me to be anticipating a box soon.
-
Hi Ron, you thought these castings might be available in March. I didn't miss this offering did I?

The lettering in the posts from acorn20 is easily readable and the others require me to use reading glasses.WHAT is going on here?

Bob, at the top of the "reply" form, there are various "buttons" to choose font style/size/color, etc. I picked size 14 for this reply, but you can select many sizes, fonts, color.

nice

Bob, I have the same problem you do when I read everyone's posts. I just try to make my posts easier to read. I use Times New Roman font and my font size is 14. It wouldn't bother me one bit if the powers to be of this site made that the default font.

I received castings earlier this week, but don't have complete sets as there were several failures. I just finished shooting replacement wax's today and will get them off to the foundry on Monday. For those still interested in buying mounts, please send me confirmation to my email. ronscottflintlocks@gmail.com
