Can anyone venture a guess as to the origin of this horn? It’s 15 1/2 inches on the outside curve

Rob, I am going to venture New England as the place of origin. It has a pine butt plug and the peculiar spout with 'striated' carving along its length is exactly like one that I have. My horn is dated 1766 and is an MA horn. Nice find, very good condition and most unusual. Good on you for finding it and thank you for bringing it in.

Very nice horn. It gives the appearance of being 2 pieces of horn joined in the body but I’m guessing it’s a one-piece horn?

Upon closer examination, the horn is in fact one piece.

Rob, I will do my best. Right now I am having severe back problems and can't do much. Give me some time and I will get that and some others out to photograph and post here. Thanks!

I know how back pain affects your whole life. Hope you can get that squared away.

A good horn with a somewhat similar spout having those carved decorative lines sold recently on Ebay. It was from Canada.
