A wile back I admired a bag Marc had made and he, more than generously, sent it to me as a gift. I wanted to at least partially return the kindness so I made him a "fancy" turn-screw and engraved a sterling silver disk with his logo and mounted it on a round brass box he sent me to engrave......

I am the very proud recipient of these two gifts.
Now for the rest of the story.....
David liked a bag I made and posted on the forum, so I said I'd send it to him for the kind things he's done for me in the past. Being the gentleman that he is, he wouldn't hear of it as a gift. He asked if there was anything I needed, and I said a small, simple, useful screwdriver for lock bolts would be nice. He said that was not nearly enough, and would I like anything engraved? So I asked if he'd put my avatar NC skep hive on a Ted Cash brass box for me. I should have known Mr. Crisalli NEVER does anything halfway.
Notice the "simple" screwdriver. I am thinking it belongs in the Museum of Art. David added a sterling silver disc to the brass box, as he felt it wasn't nice enough on the brass. What a guy! :-) The two items are looking at me on my desk, and I have yet to get up the nerve to use them and "dirty them up".
David, my sincere thanks. You have put me deeply in your debt. If you need something in leather, just let me know.
God Bless, and best wishes, Marc

By the way, North Carolina money in the early days often used the bees and skep hive as their symbol. I believe it was to show industriousness and community. I always liked that. Now, my Mrs. is study hard to get her bee keeping certification. Small world.

As an owner of items made by both, they are two exceptional craftsman.
That’s one fancy turnscrew. Nicely done, Dave, and enjoy it, Marc.

As said "David never does anything half way" His talent and execution are just astounding.

You can say that again! David never does anything halfway.
It is amazing to see the multi-talented craftsmen on here, each with their own identifiable style. I think if forced to describe David's work in one word, it'd be "Crisp" in all the best ways.
God Bless, Marc
