Title: Illinois/Missouri Clubs?
Post by: Panzerschwein on June 11, 2022, 09:35:52 AM
I live in Randolph County, Illinois, close to the Mississippi River. I have been searching for groups who shoot black powder within a couple hour’s drive or so. I’d love to join a club and possibly attend some matches or woods walks etc. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I’d love to learn. Thank you!

There's Prairieland Frontiersman which is close to Sullivan, Il. They have a website. Also there's Tawaskote Longrifles which is east of Charleston IL. Both have monthly shoots. Need further information just let me know.

It will be difficult to find a Traditional Club better than the Gemmer Muzzle Loading Gun Club.

Randolph county ill is wonderful deer turkey squirrel and waterfowl hunting. Shawnee National Forest is at your doorstep. Thousands of acres of public land to tromp around on with your smokepole. The breaks of the Mississippi are beautifully rugged. You’ve lit in a great spot. How could you be so fortunate!
