Nifty, I like your patina. The cheek piece looks a little long though. I miss the muzzle loading forum. They love me over there.

I like it. I didn’t know Pecatonica could provide an Octagon to Round barrel for the Verner. Is it rifled?

We Need some targets/range reports that .58  should hit the deer  ;D  alot harder than your .45

Welcome to our side! Looks like a fine job on that one. One thing I spotted right off was you filed the sides of the forend slightly below the barrel centerline. That is a nice detail most miss and it makes the rifle look slimmer!

I like seeing a good, relatively modest rifle. No patchbox, no nose cap, but still a buttplate and a little bit of flair in other areas. It's tastefully balanced. It seems like the temptation is often times to go either extreme poor boy or dolled up to the nines; with some sort of patchbox, capbox, or grease hole being almost mandatory on everything. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make in the future.
