Title: Making A Chain By "Hawkeye"
Post by: Tim Crosby on June 22, 2022, 10:13:14 PM
Over in Hawkeye's post, "Another Challenge" I asked if he made the link chain, he said he did and sent me a tutorial on how he did it. I asked if he minded if I posted it and he said that's fine do here it is. I'm sure if there are any questions he will follow-up.

This is what you need, small and large pliers with rounded beak, a cutting plier
And I find these iron rods 0,60 thick and 14'' long. For the chain holder I cut a piece 0f 5-6 inch. I made this in horse shoe style with the curls outside

After that I cut for the links pieces from 3 inch and formed them like this

With the small pliers I bend them little backwards so I became this

Afterwards I connected it with the horse shoe style bended iron. And you continue on both sides till your chain is long enough

Is there anyway a link can be posted on where to purchase this? I can't find anything matching this description on google.

Excellent tutorial and thank you for posting, the pictures loaded up right away for me.

I think that is about 1/16th". Those little flags that they use to mark underground wiring works well.
Tractor Supply sells them here.

Have you cleared your history and cash lately? Tried the Reload This Page button, if you have one.
Seems like there is a lot of mystery in the Missing Pix world again.
