Jere and I were good friends. What most people today don’t realize is that Jere made every single part of his rifles all by himself. A true master craftsman and artist.

Jerry was a true friend to many of us contemporary builders. He was extravagant with his praise of other's work (mine particularly) and offered much appreciated constructive critique. He is missed here. And I agree with Mike...this is a special rifle.

Jerry used to attend the Engravers Guild Show and Meeting at the Las Vegas Winter show and his absence is evident. Greatly missed and a master craftsman he certainly was one of a kind. He was always helpful and was generous with his talents and knowledge.

It was about a year ago. He was in Hospital for an operation.
