Title: Hoping for help identifying Lock and trigger
Post by: steg49 on August 21, 2022, 11:58:42 PM
I have a half stock Hawken style rifle with a percussion lock, only marking is 1974 very faint just behind the hammer and set triggers marked K.Weimlr   Any help especially identifying the lock would be great.  check photos. steg49

The trigger is Ken Weimer but I don't remember where he was or the time frame either. The plate and hammer are reproduced from the Carson Hawken.Hammer was #177 from Jerry Devaudreuil's inventory but I don't remember the plate number. The mechanism is low quality
and maybe parts made from a kit.I used a lot of the plates and hammers for new locks.

Thanks Bob, now that I closely look at the triggers, I can see that it is an E thus the correct spelling Weimer.  I did find another photo of the exact same design on the web so he must have made a few of these. Also thank on the lock, I knew you would know.  steg49
