Well, that's one screw tip that won't split or have the threads wear out. Plug looks like it could be a Lancaster style.

Staples, pine butt plug with pressed design, and a highly interesting spout of brass. I agree with Shelby and Bob; a most unusual Lancaster horn and it is a dandy.

I agree Lancaster style buut plug. One of the things I find so interesting about these old horns and other hand made items is the many different ideas people come up . Neat horn Jim
