Nice morning in the back 40 turkey woods with a Chuck Edwards 16 gauge

Nice bird and gun. Nice picture too. Noisy walk in with all those fallen leaves. :D
-
Nice bird!
I got a hen opening morning. I’ve made a couple of wing-bone calls and am practicing with them when Susan’s not in earshot.

Georgia doesn't have a fall turkey season but we do have a spring hunt and any muzzleloading firearm is legal. This suits me best as I'm a rifleman at heart. I built this .40 caliber flinter as a dedicated turkey rifle. But it does a lot of things well, including turkeys. I've lost count of the gobblers this rifle has taken.
Too bad that our turkey population has crashed. We keep hoping.....
