Title: Old knife
Post by: Shreckmeister on January 04, 2023, 03:34:44 AM
Does anyone recognize the remains of the name on the Ricasso?
Straight blade with spearpoint.

I'd suggest you look at commercial tool maker's marks and names.  Many blades were made from files.

I agree, that looks a lot like an early 20th century commercial tool makers mark? Is the brass tube ferrule brazed along a seam or extruded?

I appreciate the suggestions. A friend bought it. I hope to handle it and answer your questions
