Title: Henry Berry bag and horn info wanted
Post by: Wmasswolf on February 03, 2023, 04:28:20 AM
featured in Madison Grant's book as Plate 22, there is a great story about the history of the rifle/bag and horn, but very little info about the bag itself (except to say it's dated between 1795 and 1815.

does anyone have any additional photographs or information about this bag set? I'd like to make a copy of it, but would like to get as much info as I can before jumping in.

thank you in advance!

Contact Colonial Williamsburg , they have the Montague rifle . It was given to them by Madison Grant in 1980, I am sure the bag and horn went to Williamsburg with the gun .
