Title: Swiss powder bottle caps
Post by: Regular Joe on February 07, 2023, 07:23:09 AM
Switched to Swiss after I ran out of Goex.  I need to make a pour spout for the bottle.  What can I use for a cap for the Swiss bottle?  It seems an odd size.

Make a pour spout from the cap by drilling a hole in it and glueing in a spout. You can make a spout from copper tubing flared on one end or wander through the hardware store and find something that you can modify to use.

I used the shell casing from a suppository gun for the spout on a Goex can.  Haven't seen a Swiss can, but assume it would work equally as well.

The spout of a toothpaste tube glued inside the original cap works well.

I saved my Goex cans and labeled them Swiss and the size.  I made a spout  for the can using a soldered in cut off centerfire case capped with a pistol case cap.  I refill the cans from the plastic bottles as needed.

Powder can pour spouts for all the cans are easily made using ctg., cases, cut off and either glued (CA) in plastic caps, or soldered in steel ones.
Best to use a ctg. case that has a "mouth" that fits the spout of your horn.

I don't know what size Swiss caps are, I have found that the size that fits a goex plastic bottle is a very common size. The black one in picture is from a 90w gear oil bottle, I use this gear oil in my rototiller gear box. The white one is from a kind of local BBQ sauce I use.
