Did anyone notice the painted on stripes on the fancy Bull rifle with the brass patchbox? That was a real surprise to me. I had heard of some southern guns painted up but this was the first I'd seen up close.
I'd like to add a huge thank you to the KRA members for the outstanding displays. It's an education everytime I get around those guys. Really great group.

Any photos to share? Sounds interesting.

Bigsky,
If I can get permission I will post a couple but not without the owners permission.

Yep, I saw it. That kind of surprised me as well. I spent a good deal of time looking at the 6 rifles on those two tables. It was good meeting you this weekend Ken. I can't wait till next year. My head is still spinning.

Funny you can get caught up in the detail and miss the overall view. I looked at the rifle over and over. Studying every detail. how the guard was made, the buttplate, thimbles. If the owner had not pointed out the painted on stripes I swear i would have missed them completley.

He pointed it out to me too. If you are K1 level then I'm still crawling.
